When to use this
Use this guide to connect your system to ethernet or Wi-Fi, confirm it is online, and locate its IP or MAC address.
Accessing Network Settings
Autofiller
Select Network Settings on the 'Waiting for instructions' screen.
Bay screen (Stratyx 250)
Select Hardware Diagnostics then Network Settings on the 'Waiting for instructions' screen.
On lost connectivity the bay screen system detects the drop and presents the Hardware Diagnostics button to access Network Settings.
Connecting via Ethernet
Plug the ethernet cable into the device.
Confirm Network Settings shows Ethernet: Connected.
To see the assigned IP and MAC, tap the arrow next to Ethernet.
Most common: leave configuration method on Automatic (DHCP).
If your IT requires a static IP: switch to Manual, enter the IP address, netmask, gateway, and DNS values provided by IT, then tap Connect.
Connecting via Wi-Fi
Open Network Settings and toggle Wi-Fi on.
Select your network from the list.
Enter the password and tap Connect.
Notes and limitations
On a Stratyx 250, connecting a single bay is enough to bring the whole system online.
Captive portals and guest-network login pages are not supported.
