The fluidic connection between the vessel and syringe pack guarantees a keyed alignment between fluid lines on both sides of the fluid manifold. This reduces the number of manual fluid connections that have to be made by hand, and ensures that lines dispense in repeatable locations - e.g. antifoam delivers into the headspace while glucose delivers sub-surface, acid and base distribute from opposite sides of the dip tube assembly.
To ensure the best fluid connection and reduce the chances of small leaks, please hand-press all connections one at a time after snapping the two halves of the manifold together. The snapping latch is not necessarily a guarantee of tight connections, so we encourage an extra round of pressing after feeling the snaps engage. Importantly, a final press around the three center channels will help seat the connections most reliably. We have found that sometimes, when applying the final press to the outer edges or "wings" of the manifold, it can flex the plastic outward and pull the center channels apart slightly.
Step 1 - Connect both halves
Step 2 - Firmly press all fittings and finish in the center
